Golden Globes 2010

Vannacht zijn in het Beverly Hilton hotel de Golden Globes uitgereikt door de Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The Hangover werd uitgeroepen tot beste filmkomedie en James Cameron sleepte met Avatar de twee globes voor beste dramafilm en beste regie in de wacht. De overige prijzen werden als volgt verdeeld:

• Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side voor Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama
  
• Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart voor Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama
  
• Meryl Streep in Julie & Julia voor Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical
  
• Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes voor Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical
  
• Mo´nique in Precious: Based On The Novel Push By Sapphire voor Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture
  
• Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds voor Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture
  
• Walt Disney/PIXAR voor Up in de categorie Best Animated Feature Film
  
• Duitsland won met Das weisse Band - Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte (The White Ribbon) als Best Foreign Language Film
  
• Jason Reitman & Sheldon Turner in Up in the Air voor Best Screenplay - Motion Picture
  
• "The Weary Kind" uit Crazy Heart werd als beste song uitgekozen en de prijs voor beste muziekscore ging naar Michael Giacchino voor de film Up
